Michelle Krieg

Michelle is an ecologist and experiential educator with over 15 years of experience in regenerative land stewardship and education. With an interest in embodied craft as a medium for ecological thinking and action, she currently serves as the Garden Education Manager for a social justice and land-based learning centre in Northern California (OAEC.org), where she leads community garden projects, mentors apprentices, and advocates for and teaches ecological literacy through ecological design courses and school garden teacher trainings. In early 2019, Michelle also founded an educational consultancy organisation—Food Pathways Education—which explores how place- and process-based food practices can inspire an immersive, tactile ontology. With a graduate degree in arts- and ecology-based education, she is dedicated to helping schools, universities, and land-based learning centres create spaces for regenerative and future thinking—cultivating new conversations surrounding ecology, economy, identity, and place.
